Finding Purpose in Your Profession With Kiana

In this episode, I chat with one of my best friends Kiana Player about finding purpose in your profession. I often speak about my transition from corporate to entrepreneurship but there are many women and men who not only love their chosen profession but they have found alignment and purpose in their field. In this episode, she shares how she sees working for an organization as an even exchange. We also talk about her journey in leaving her organization after 12 years for one more in alignment with her values and potential. She shares that your growth will come from being uncomfortable and you don’t always have to change professions to find it. She also shares the impact of finding an organization and leadership that supports your growth.

We also talk about the impact of her attending the Quit Your Job event that I’ve hosted in Atlanta for the last two years. Quit Your Job in 90 Days Tour, is a women’s empowerment workshop series designed for women in pursuit of finding their purpose, following their dreams, starting a new career or launching a business.  Attendees walk away with an actionable plan for leaving their current job in pursuit of a career more aligned with their core values and needs. She shares how this event made her reassess if her role was in alignment with her plan for her life and made the decision to leave in pursuit of one that was.
